How to Reach IITB?

IIT Bombay is situated in the Powai suburb of Mumbai. It can be easily reached by auto-rikshaw, cab, bus and train.

From CST, Dadar, Kurla or Thane train terminus
You can walk from any of the above mentioned railway terminus to the corresponding local train stations (which are usually not far away) and board a train to Kanjurmarg from there. Kanjurmarg station of Central Line of Mumbai Suburban Train System is closest to IIT Bombay. Hire auto-rikshaw from Kanjurmarg to IIT Bombay, which would cost around INR 40.

From Bandra train terminus
Walk to Bandra local railway station and board BEST bus route number 422 to directly reach IIT Bombay (costs INR 15 and 2 hours). Alternatively you can hire an auto-rikshaw to IITB for approx. INR 200

From Domestic airport
You can hire an A/C cab by calling Meru Cab at 022 4422 4422. It would cost around INR 200 to reach IIT Bombay. Fare for normal cab is around INR 140. Auto-rikshaw would cost around INR 80.

From International airport
Hire A/C Meru Cab by calling 022 4422 4422. Cost would be around INR 250.

In light of the nature and primary purpose of MR 13, only Research Students, Research Fellows and Post Doctoral Fellows should present the papers accepted in the contributed category


Participants are requested to submit an extended abstract on or before 25th March, 2013.


We are trying to explore the possibility of publishing selected papers in peer reviewed journals.
